7th Stop - Andalusia (AL)

To break up the long drive between Birmingham, AL and Crestview, FL, we decided to make a quick pitstop in Andalusia, AL and stayed at The Oak Family RV, which was pretty cheap and pretty great. It was nice and big and spacious, had a nice pool and playground and private fishing pond. And there was a Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints just 3 minutes down the road! The Andalusia Ward was so friendly and multiple people encouraged us to live there after our trip :) We even met a family that had lived only a couple streets away from where we had lived in Ohio while they were there for podiatry school.
The kids LOVED the pool and wanted to swim every waking moment. Luckily it was fairly sunny and our campsite was right in front of the pool. These huge horse flies also loved the pool deck, biggest I'd ever seen.
We found hundred of tiny little frogs on our walk down to the fishing pond. The kids (and adults) enjoyed catching them all. See if you can spot them in the pics below :)
In the fishing pond, we found these strange clusters of depressions in the shallows. I didn't know what they were, until a fish swam and hovered in each one. Then I realized that they were fish nests! Largemouth bass spawning nests to be specific. That was pretty cool to see up close.
